Reliving history through interactive installations

As part of the renovation of their St Helens building, Aviva wanted to showcase their heritage in an innovative and interactive way.

The Heritage Wall is two interactive installations situated in Aviva’s head office in London, each informing visitors about the company's history through the use of creative technology.

Project details

The Mosaic installation creates an abstract reflection of the visitor using literature from the Aviva archive as pixels. (This communicates that people are what make Aviva’s heritage.) Motion sensors combined with the responsiveness of the screens acts as an attractor, inviting visitors to interact. Any pixel can be selected to look at that archived piece in more detail.

The Solar System installation lets visitors explore all of the companies that make up Aviva’s Composite Nature. When visitors approach the screen, the display comes to life and follows them around the space. Once interacted with, visitors can find out more about any of the companies including; information, photos, video and relevant documents. Visitors can even search for specific companies if they have one in mind.

The Heritage Wall modernises the reception area and creates a unique visitor experience. Using an innovative application of technology Aviva can engage visitors and tell their story of their heritage.
